Hyderabad: The State CPI has demanded that the State government exert pressure on the Centre to resolve the lorry owners strike immediately and see that essential commodities are not shifted to black market.
In a letter addressed to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said the ongoing All-India lorry strike was affecting the common people and farmers as prices of essential goods were skyrocketing with the halt of transportation of essential goods. The farmers, who were already facing many troubles, were facing new troubles with the lorry strike. He asked the Chief Minister to intervene and mount pressure on the Centre to solve the problem immediately by solving lorry owners demands. (NSS)
