High Command summons T-Congress leaders

Shocked over unexpected withdrawal of party candidates in the MLC elections, the Congress High Command has summoned all top leaders of Telangan Congress to Delhi to discuss the issue.

TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Leaders of Opposition K. Jana Reddy (Assembly) and Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Council), Greater Hyderabad Congress president Danam Nagender, Ranga Reddy DCC President Kyama Mallesh, Medak DCC president Sunitha Lakshma Reddy and other DCC presidents have been summoned to Delhi on Monday. According to party sources, the Congress High Command is highly upset with the failure of local leaders to prevent defections wherein candidates themselves joined the TRS by withdrawing their candidature. They are also likely to discuss the strategy for the elections for remaining six MLC seats on December 27.

AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh has reportedly asked Telangana leaders to come up with plans to contest the next GHMC elections. (INN)
