Hyderabad: A member of Goraksha Dal today hurl a chappal at Kanhaiya Kumar, JNU Student Union president during his address on ‘constitutional rights’ at the Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Hyderabad.
Though the supporters of right wing outfit missed his target, Kanhaiya’s supporters took on the attacker and roughed him up even as the former tried to dissuade the men from assaulting his attacker.
Continuing with his speech, Kanhaiya said that such incidents do not matter to him and the detractors think if they do anything to him, they would be able to stop him. “Kuch bhi kar lo, hum darne wala nahi hai,” he said explaining how JNU students treated a person who slapped him inside the university full of his supporters.
“I want to ask them on whose directions are they doing it…One day you will know you are throwing chappal at yourself..,” he said as he continued his speech.
