Job Description:
The Data Quality Manager is responsible for defining and owning the implementation of data cleansing, quality management and loading processes as well as MS Azure and Hadoop based tools. This role will lead a team of engineers who will be responsible for ensuring quality of data from various sources throughout the country.
Frequent interaction is required with other stakeholders, for example Data scientists, Security architects, tool masters etc., but not limited to business area owners, responsible for defining data standards, data quality, developers and architects.
Responsibilities:
Build strong relationship with business owners, act as their representative for the organization when enterprise data is created, updated, deleted, and influence the
appropriate usage and views of enterprise data.
Represent their domain to develop requirements for enterprise views of critical data (e.g.
Master Data Management projects) by providing authority and responsibility on data definitions and quality.
To create overall data governance model along with processes and functions in tandem with security, modeling and end customer teams.
Provide business leadership in identifying and naming authoritative sources for existing and new data domains.
Collaborate with data controllers from other domains to define and develop an enterprise view of critical data.
Lead business owners in addressing high priority enterprise data problems, recommend solutions and use of industry standards when appropriate.
Collaborate with other data controllers to establish data quality standards for enterprise critical data.
Participate in audits to measure and improve data quality.
Recommend solutions to data owners.

Skills Required:
Must be knowledgeable of Financial or telecom industry’s terminology, concepts and in-depth knowledge of key business process, such as ETL development, quality checks
Must have a background in data governance, data quality and/or business data modeling.
Must have experience in Hadoop, MS SQL and Azure.
Some experience in one of Teradata, Oracle, DB2 will be preferred.
Must be skillful at verbal and written communication to both leadership teams and peer groups
Must be comfortable working with senior management, both on the business and technical sides. Must demonstrate ability to create professional relationships and effectively partner with and influence a cross-functional team.
Must be able to develop a long-range course of action or set of goals to align with the organizations vision regarding classification and processing of data and maintaining quality.
Must be proactive in building and aligning stakeholders, capabilities, and resources for getting things done quickly and achieving complex objectives.
Must support the creation of an environment that embraces change; makes change happeneven if the change is radical and helps others to accept new ideas.
Knowledge of data management concepts (e.g. Master Data Management, Data Quality, etc.) is a plus.
Qualifications:
8-14 years of experience managing the design, development, and continuous improvement of complex data systems, tools, and reports
Proven ability in:
Managing production teams
Dealing with ambiguity
Exposure to CMM or CMMI is preferred.
Shaping, developing on and executing a business vision
Managing through systems and measuring work
Building teams by assessing quality talent and motivating/inspiring others
Working with large corporate within a highly matrixed environment
Working experience in having a solid understanding of the key stakeholder expectations / bias
Working with technical and business personnel
