The Director of Business Development (DBD) will be primarily responsible pairing our consulting and solutions to the needs of prospective business clients. The DBD would prioritize and strategize pursuits, manage complex sales cycles, partner as required, map consulting and solutions to business scenarios at the executive level, and drive revenue. The position requires carrying an executive presence, while articulating how HCC consulting and solutions can help address client pain points and drive positive business outcomes.
Identify priorities within the market segment/industry sector/service line, lead the execution of sales campaigns, and assist on priority initiatives that support revenue generation & solution co-creation.
Understand and articulate business pain points with executive level audiences. Ease in approaching issues from a top management view and discussing them in the overall context of a business and an ability to link consulting & solutions engagements with financial impact.
Manage complex sales cycles and answer the tough client questions.
Build and nurture partnerships to support GTM activity.
Experience working with prioritized net-new logos and account expansion/management.
Identify future deals while giving input into prioritization and strategy of pursuits.
Maintain a knowledge of Hitachi solutions, map these solutions to business problems through perfect delivery
Minimum of 10+ years experience of sales/business development; with a at least 5 years in management consulting / solutions.
Excellent business development skills with consulting experience or in developing industry solutions; domain experience / expertise in manufacturing [auto/metals/pharma/etc.], BFSI, Energy or government segments; connects at executive level are critical.
Ability to generate, negotiate, and close business deals with key pursuits over complex sales cycles.
Strong communications skills and proven track record of creating and delivering presentations to C and board level audiences.
Ability to manage multiple ongoing pursuits and initiatives with superb organizational skills.
Self-motivated and resilient team player with stamina as a road warrior.
Strong influencing & collaboration skills to work effectively across teams within HCC as well as the Hitachi group to deliver results.
MBA or relevant with an excellent record.
High professional and personal integrity with very high ethical standards and maintain Hitachi standard of excellence and honesty.
