The Role
The purpose of this role is to take part of the electrical design, coordination, and resolution of engineering problems and technical analysis of the projects assigned.
Technical Design Duties
? Responsible for the electrical design contents as assigned together and follow-up for Authority and Client’s approval
? Responsibilities include electrical lighting, power supply, earthing and lightning protection, as well as other related electrical utility systems and coordination with all other related services such as mechanical, ELV, etc
? Preparation of electrical design calculations such as voltage drops, load schedules, single line diagrams, lighting and emergency lighting calculations
? Preparation of electrical drawings and tender documents for the design projects
? Knowledge and understanding of UAE Authority requirements such as DEWA, ADDC, FEWA, UAE civil defence code, etc and international standards such as ASHRAE and BS standards
? Knowledge and understanding of sustainability regulations and standards, such as LEED, Estidama, Al Sa’fat (Dubai Green Regulations) and WELL standards
? Good in Revit Modelling & Coordination with other discipline engineers as applicable to achieve high level of coordination
? Having Construction Supervision experience for submittal of material and shop drawings is preferable.
Management Duties
? Responsible for the design production and draftsman review of the electrical services
? Participation in design review meetings, coordination meetings and workshops.
? Preparation of meeting records, design review and design progress reports.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum experience of (3) years in UAE for design consultancy reporting to a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and MEP Manager
High proficiency in computer software for electrical engineering such as the following:
? Dialux lighting calculation, Amtech, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint
