Job Description:

Job Purpose

Drives strategy in terms of delivery model, leads business development across all geographies and divisions. In addition ensures service delivery and operational excellence for a team of 40 associates providing BPA services to Pharma, Oncology and Sandoz (X-divisional) across the globe.
Build a strong international network to deliver key strategic initiatives with key stakeholders.

Major Accountabilities:

Strategy and Business development
Definition of global strategy for delivery including scope and delivery model in heterogeneous landscape across divisions
Drive decision making at Pharma/Oncology/Sandoz BPA global leadership teams to align strategy and execution
Design and deliver the organizational design in line with the renewed strategy of the team
Reduce non-standard reporting by pushing for maximum use of reporting tools
Work closely with the project teams to further innovate the delivery
Build strong network and engagement with global stakeholders and internal customers
Advise on any upcoming shifts towards a more centralized BPA function globally

Service delivery and Operational excellence

Lead the commercial operations team across Pharma, Sandoz and Oncology businesses
Design, implement and executes a strong quality control and governance framework
Drive process excellence, standardization and automation and best-practice sharing
Deliver productivity targets across all commercial operations and ensures balanced resource utilization across various groups
Organize the team set-up and optimizes capacity utilizations within the team
Ensure a strong business continuity plan is in place with adequate testing mechanisms
Consistently push the boundaries of existing work and scope for Hyderabad

Organization / Team development
Identify skill-sets both for the running operations and expansion and leads the staffing plan according to required skill-sets
Actively collaborate with senior leaders to facilitate short term assignments and movement into global roles
Build a highly professional and efficient team including strong successors
Develop the talent pool of BPAs within his team including longer-term development plans for talents within and beyond Hyderabad
Find, hire and develop top tier finance talent for the wider Novartis Finance organization
