Job Purpose :
Provide ongoing support to the all Batch Scheduling Environments ensuring each instance is available to our clients 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Conduct second level technical expertise on each instance to insure that all batch schedules are maintained and met. Coordinate efforts to insure that all processes are documented and current. Construct measures to detect work process failures. Implement appropriate quality assurance measures for existing and anticipated problems. Provide technical client support in all aspects of production scheduling and secure file transfer.
Key Responsibilities / Duties :
Represent the Enterprise Scheduling / Secure Transport team at meetings and / or planned sessions.
Work with Problem / Change Management software in ServiceNow.
Execute support requests and prepare communications to support teams
Provide client support for on call, after hours and weekend support when required.
Participate in troubleshooting efforts with the team or as an individual.
Collaborate with support teams regarding changes with scheduled jobs or File Transfers
Provide technical troubleshooting to support teams on File transfer and job scheduling.
Identify and resolve problems using existing system logs, job logs agent logs.
Provide strong communication skills via phone, email or in person.
Interface with clients of all levels.
Keep abreast of current developments and trends in scheduling technology through networking, continuing education and industry/ technology publications, seminars, and user groups.
Update and maintain documentation.
Assist in the implementation and training of team members as required.
Provide accurate documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, plans and status reports.
Assist in quality improvement initiatives.
Respond to support team batch or transfer failures and comprehend comples problems to create permanent solutions.
Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server.
