Position Description:
This position resides in the Intellectual Property & Science (IP&S) division of Thomson Reuters which provides intelligent information to accelerate and protect scientific research and innovation. The IP&S Data Steward is responsible for the accurate maintenance of customer master data in Salesforce.com. This data is maintained against a defined set of data standards. In this role you will partner with functions across the wider business on a daily basis as requests to create and amend data are received and executed as appropriate, ensuring that handoffs are controlled appropriately. The IP&S Data Steward also partners with internal customers where necessary to validate account information in order to maintain total data integrity.
We are looking for someone who is capable of monitoring and manipulating large volumes of data, while identifying the information that is most critical for decision making. You will work to obtain the information needed to create, or update the reports and reconcile the information you receive to that which is utilized by our Sales and Operations teams. We will further look to you to analyze variances that may occur to ensure that the correct information is going into our systems and into these reports at all times.
Responsibilities:
Assists in adhering to consistent data maintenance procedures for key data points for IP&S. Identify missing or incorrect master data standards
Maintain focus on a set of data points that are highly used and vital to billing, marketing, sales, & financial reporting activities across all of Thomson Reuters as one organization
Be knowledgeable about addressing standard formats and phone/fax formats for different countries worldwide
Conduct online research on customer and prospect records to validate and/or enhance internal data where applicable/useful
Utilize Hoovers and other online resources to obtain information for missing data elements
Partner with Customer Services, Sales, Credit Management, MIS and Marketing teams as necessary in order to execute data requests
Identify duplicates when found in salesforce.com and notify Subject Matter Expert (SME) once identified for merging
Ensure that all data is created in accordance within the standards set by the governance group
Maintain account hierarchies
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience :
2+ years data analysis/customer master maintenance experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Strong general research & searching skills
Experience with data manipulation
Very strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Salesforce.com experience a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to remain engaged in and focused on repetitive tasks covering the same set of data points
Qualification : Any Commerce Graduate
Experience : 2-3 years in ( AP ,AR, finance process )
Walk-in date and time : 24th & 25th Oct 2016 / 4: 00 – 4: 30 PM
