Hyderabad Metro Rail project (HMRP) was conferred the highest independent honour in India — “Skoch Platinum Award” for being the best transportation project among the top 100 projects in India for the year 2016 during the 45th Summit of Skoch Smart Governance Awards 2016 held here.
The selected top 100 projects in India representing Government, private sector and NGO initiatives ranging from Government welfare schemes, e-Governance initiatives, transportation projects, solid waste management projects, water supply schemes, smart card solutions, sanitation schemes and Swachh Bharat programs of different States were showcased during the two-day Smart India 45thSkoch Summit held on September 8 and 9 at HICC.
A jury consisting of eminent experts from various fields evaluated all the programs and schemes in different categories and selected the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project as the ‘Best Transportation Project of India’ for the year.
