New Delhi : There was a state of panic at the Modern School located in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area after an abandoned bag was found inside the school premises on Thursday afternoon.
All the students and teachers present inside the school were evacuated and a thorough search of the building was carried out. It was later declared to be hoax.
The Delhi Police confirmed the news about the same on its official twitter handle saying,” Bomb call for Modern School Vasant Vihar. ALL CHILDREN and STAFF SAFE. School bldgs evacuated and BDS/anti-sabotage checks on.”
The DCP of South Delhi said the ACP and the SHO were sent to the school for search operations along with the school staff.
Sniffer dogs and a bomb disposal squad were also sent to the spot. (ANI)
