Holder says wounded Windies aim to end Aussie tour on high

Johannesburg : West Indies skipper Jason Holder believes that his side have gained some confidence from their series loss against Australia and they are now looking forward to end the tour on a high note when they take on the hosts in the final Test in Sydney.

The 24-year-old bowler insisted that his side fought really well in the last two days of the second Test, and called on his side to maintain that standard in the upcoming match as well, Sport24 reported.

Holder, however, admitted that his bowlers needed to improve for the final Test, saying that they had to display a lot more disciplined performance than they had shown in the second match.

Earlier, the eighth-ranked Windies suffered a humiliating 177-run defeat in the second match against Australia in Melbourne.

With the defeat, the Caribbean side are currently trailing 0-2 in the three-match series and will now play the inconsequential third and the final Test in Sydney, starting from Sunday. (ANI)
