Sonepat: A couple and their son belonging to dalit family were killed in Sonepat, Haryana State. It is suspected that it may a case of honor killing but a pregnant woman who was injured in the attack delivered a boy in hospital.
A woman and other person were injured when some persons opened fire on Friday night.
According to the police, the identified victims are Pradeep Kumar (27), his father Suresh and mother Sunita.
Susheela, Pradeep’s wife and his brother Suraj who were injured were rushed to hospital in Rohtak.
Susheela was pregnant. She received three bullets. She was luckily saved and gave birth to a boy after Caesarean operation.
It is suspected that since Susheela belonged to an upper-caste, married Pradeep a few years back against the wishes of her family.
Police suspect that Susheela’s family members may be behind these attacks.
Most of the honour killings are due to caste differences.
