JAIPUR: Meat seized from Muslim-owned eatery named Hotel Hayat Rabbani sealed after gaurakshaks attack was not beef, revealed FSL reports.

The Forensic Science Laboratory tests ruled out any possibility that the meat seized from the eatery was from a cow or its progeny.

“From the very first day, I have been saying that it was chicken but no one from the administration listened to me. The report confirms all allegations leveled on us were false,” said Naeem Rabbani, owner of the hotel to HT.

“I have incurred losses of hundreds of thousands of rupees in the past one-and-a-half month and the people who worked in the hotel are also jobless as it is still sealed today,” he added.

However, the Hindu leader Sadhvi Jamal ‘Didi’ was unhappy with the conclusion. “I will speak with the police to verify that whether the forensic test of the meat sample has been done correctly or not. Only after that, I will decide the next course of action,” reported The Express Tribune.

The restaurant was shut down in March, after as many as 150 Hindu activists led by Rashtriya Mahila Gau Rakshak Sewa Mandal activist Sadhvi Kamal ‘Didi’ gathered at the eatery and protested against the hotel and accused it of serving beef to its customers.

The mob of ‘gau rakshaks’ laid siege to a Jaipur hotel and chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Narendra Modi Zindabad’.

Despite Forensic clean chit and court order, the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is yet to unsealed the hotel.

“It’s been more than seven days now but the JMC hasn’t removed the seal,” said Naeem Rabbani.
