Humanity and Peace campaign of Jamat-e-Islami starts today

Hyderabad: Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami Telangana and Odisha gave the details of Humanity and Peace campaign of Jamat-e-Islami which is starting today at national level. He mentioned that there is a long list of communal riots in the independent India. During the past 70 years, genocide of Muslims and Dalits has been going on but after 2014, the communal elements have changed their modus operandi to implement their ideology. Instead of direct mass genocide, they are creating fear and terror among the minorities by individual incidents, the examples of which could be found in the assassination of Akhlaq Ahmed in Dadri (UP), hanging of the Muslim youths in Jharkhand, assaulting the naked Dalits in Una (Gujarat) etc.

Through these incidents, on the one hand an atmosphere of terror is being generated among Minorities and on the other hand, the evil designs of communal elements are getting encouraged.

In such a situation, Jamat-e-Islami of India has decided to bring together the victims of Minorities and Dalits. To achieve this objective, Humanities and Peace campaign is being organized in all the states of India from 21st August to 4th September.

During this campaign, public meetings, group meetings, cornor meetings, round table conference and press conferences would be organized in order to bring all the victimized sections of society together.

At the end of this campaign, a mass public meeting would be arrange on 4th September in Hyderabad in which the leaders of all the religions and scholars and intellectuals of various schools of thoughts would be organized. So far, Mr. Ram Punyani and Ms. Teesta Setalwad have consented to attend the meeting.

In the press conference held by Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, Hafiz Rishaduddin, City President of Jamat-e-Islami of Greater Hyderabad, Mr. Muneeb Ahmed Khan, Sultan Mohiuddin and others were present.
