Hyderabad: 10-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: A minor was sexually attacked by unidentified men on several occasion in the City.

According to Deccan Chronicle, the last incident happened on February 16 at NBT Nagar in Banjara Hills.

The matter came to light after the 10-year-old girl informed her parents about the incident, who then reported the matter to police.

On Thursday, the minor’s parent approached Banjara Hills police and lodged a complaint.

“The girl was lured and taken to a secluded house by the two suspects while she was coming back from her sister’s school in NBT Nagar. The girl said the suspects kissed and groped her. It happened three times in the last one month.

The girl told her parents about this on March 18. We are waiting for medical reports to assess the case and take a decision,” said Banjara Hills Sub Inspector B. Dayakar Reddy.

On the basis of the complaint filed by the girl’s parent, a case has been registered under Section 354-A (Wrongful confinement of a person) and 376-511 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 7 of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and efforts are on to identify the accused.
