Hyderabad: DJS President booked for provocative speech

Hyderabad:The Saidabad police have booked President of Darsgah-E-Jihad-O-Shahadat (DJS) Mohammed Abdul Majid for allegedly making provocative speeches during the martial arts training camps for Muslim youths in Saidabad.
Taking suo-moto action against the DJS chief, the Saidabad police have registered a case under IPC section 153(A) (Promoting enimity between two groups on the grounds of religion).

Since commencing of self defence training camps by the DJS,the intelligence agencies are on tenterhook.

“We have registered a case against DJS President Majid and also issued notices under 41A CRPC” said Additional Inspector A Nageswar Rao.

Since its inception in December 4th, 1983 DJS has been imparting training in self defense tactics to Muslim youths at Hazrat Ujale-Shah Eidgah grounds in Akbarbagh Saidabad. Earlier DJS also conducts short term courses in self defense for Muslim girls and women, with strict observance of Veil (HIJAB) and segregated classes from boys.

After the death of DJS President Shaik Mahboob Ali on August 3rd, 2013 the training camps were temporarily stopped. But the sudden revival of the training camps has forced police to maintain alert in the area as Saidabad is also one of the communally sensitive place in city.

The DJS President Mohammed Abdul Majid said that the Saidabad police have foisted false case against him.DJS never indoctrinated communal hatred among youths, but it is proud to say that it had trained as many as fifty thousand Muslim youths in self-defense tactics”. The martial arts training camps are solely aimed at making Muslim youths self reliant in their defence.
