Hyderabad: ‘Hydcop’ app to help police in cracking crime

To help police in controlling crime, ‘Hydcop’ App has been launched, enabling city cops to access the entire police database along with CCTV camera feed directly in their smart phones on Monday by DGP Anurag Sharma at Hyderabad police commissionerate in Basheerbagh.

The officers on the field can capture the date from the crime scene/place of work and update the same into the various applications, analyse and process the date and obtain analytical reports online on their mobile phones.

Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma who inaugurated the App said with this App would provide all information including crimes, patrolling vehicle movement, criminal back ground of the peoples, and sensitiveness of the areas to the police officers. So total information in the police officers hand, this would pave the way to lead their duty in a better way, Mr Sharma reasoned.

Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahender Reddy said performance of cops can be monitored through this app.
