Hyderabad: Man with 350 girlfriends arrested for duping an NRI girl in the name of marriage

Hyderabad: A man with 350 girlfriends managed to dupe an NRI girl. He cheated her and flew with about Rs. 20 lakh.

According to the news published in India Today, Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested K. Venkat Ratna Reddy (40), who cheated women of several lakhs with marriage proposals using matrimonial sites.

Police said that, Venkat Ratna Reddy’s social networking site had about 350 girlfriends. Police also claimed that Reddy is fluent in English and communication skills.

Reddy was arrested from Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh after receiving complaint from a US-based family. It is also learnt that he was already a wanted in nine cases of fraud in Telangana and AP.

According to the police report, Ratna Reddy posted his fake ID on matrimonial websites. Based on those details when an NRI woman contacted him, he married her and shifted to the US. However, within 20 days he managed to flee with $ 30,000 of her money and returned India.

Report also revealed that he was already married and has two children. In his matrimonial profile, he made a fake claim to be a businessman.

During the investigation, police also found that Reddy was planning to trap a Canadian woman in the same style and was planning to leave India soon.
