The 67th anniversary of Republic Day was celebrated at Metro Rail Bhavan here with patriotic fervor today.

Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy hoisted the national flag and addressed the officers, engineers and staff of HMR.

While extending best wishes to the staff and their family members on the occasion, he explained how Indian Constitution was made by the great leaders and their struggle for Indian Independence, and emphasized on the importance of discipline, commitment and competitiveness we all need to display in safeguarding those virtues.

Reddy informed that Hyderabad Metro Rail is a prestigious project and during the recent PRAGATI meeting (video conference), held to review the progress of iconic projects across the country, the Prime Minister made a special mention of the project and said that HMR will showcase the capabilities of our country to the entire world.

Reddy added that each one of us need to do a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats) analysis to regain our individual strengths to put India on a fast track of development. He further said that all need to rededicate for the cause of the nation and have to be inspired by the vision of Chief Minister in achieving ‘Global City’ status to this 425 year old glorious city.
