Hyderabad: After a case was filed against NRI Usman Qureshi by his wife, Chaderghat Police issued a Look Out Circular (LOC).
Mahreen Noor, wife of Usman Qureshi after receiving triple talaq notice through WhatsApp, filed a criminal case against her husband and in-laws.
Police registered a case under Section 498A of IPC against Qureshi and his parents.
It is to be noted that Usman Qureshi had sent ‘talaq’ notice to his wife through WhatsApp from New York and set his WhatsApp profile picture as Talaq written thrice.
According to the news published in DC, while talking to media, Chaderghat Inspector of Police, G. Sattaiah said, “We issued an LOC. If the accused arrives at an Indian airport, immigration officials would detain him and hand him over to us”. He also added that police will question his parents soon as they are also facing charges.
Mahreen Noor alleged that she was being harassed continuously by her in-laws.
Earlier, she had lodged a complaint with the Mughalpura police station but it was transferred to Chaderghat Police Station since it falls under its jurisdiction.
It to be mentioned that Mahreen Noor got married to Usman Qureshi in 2015.
