HYDERABAD: Without any prior notice and information, Nizam’s Wakf committee has sealed the Qutub Shahi Ashoorkhana at Mohammed Nagar in Golconda fort.
According to Hans India report, most of the land of Qutub Shahi Ashoorkhana has been encroached and illegally leased out and construction of a cafeteria for tourists visiting the fort have already begun.
Syed Javed, caretaker of the Ashoorkhana restricted from entering the premises.
Local residents submitted a number of complaints to the Wakfboard, Archaeological Survey of India and area MLA and MP but no legal action has been taken.
