An employee of a petrol bunk was murdered after he refused to fill petrol.

According to Kukatpally police, the victim, N. Sangameshwar, was a cashier at HP Petrol Pump at Sumitra Nagar. On Wednesday night at around 11 PM, he closed the pump and while he was submitting accounts to the Manager, Ch. Raju, two persons visited the pump and asked him to fill the petrol. He refused citing closure of his day’s account with the manager. Another cashier Balraj, who was known to the assailants, directed him to fill the petrol. However, Sangameshwar refused to obey and insisted that his day’s account was closed.

After about an hour, a group of more than five people came to the petrol pump and started beating the manager Raju. When Sangameshwar tried to rescue him, he too was brutally beaten up. He sustained grievous injuries and was declared ‘brought dead’ when rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police have registered a case of murder under Section 302 IPC against Balraj, Krishna, Bablu, Shiva Prasad, Kiran and others and began investigations. (INN)
