Hyderabad: Shah Ali Banda police arrested a youth who had made fatal attack on the girl after his proposal was rejected. 26-year-old, Mohammed Amjad R/O Asif Nagar reached the house of Arshiya, at Qazipura and gave marriage proposal but the girl’s parents refused.
As revenge the youth began attacking the girl with sickle leaving her injured. Girl’s father Mazdood bin Abdullah also injured during the attack. Girl’s relatives blinded the youth by throwing chilli powder into his eyes, to control him.
ACP Falaknuma Mohammed Tajuddin Ahmed told that Amjad and Arshiya were having an affair for the past 5 years. Boy sent the marriage proposal which was rejected by girl’s parents as he was unemployed.
Police registered a case against the youth under section 307 and 354 of IPC. He was shifted to jail after producing him in Court.
