Hyderabad: Three Kashmiri youths held for allegedly not standing during national anthem

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police arrested three Kashmiri students for reportedly not standing during national anthem which was played in cinema before movie screening.

According to the news published in TOI, on Saturday, Jameel Gul, Omar Faiz and Mudabir Shabbir allegedly did not stand during the national anthem. A senior police officer who was inside the theater alerted the police about this.

It is also reported that as per Rajendranagar police, on Saturday afternoon, these Kashmiri youths went to Cine Mantra Theater which is located in Attapur. Before the screening of the movie, Bareilly Ki Barfi, the national anthem was played and these youths allegedly did not stand.

According to DCP, PV Padmaja, three youths are booked under section 2 of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act as they did not stand when the national anthem was played.

Youths were released on bail on Saturday night. It may be mentioned that the youths are the students of Engineering College.
