Hyderabad: In a strange incident, a woman (38) delivered a baby on the footpath in front of a theatre at Narayanguda crossroads on Tuesday. Later, she was shifted to Govt. Maternity Hospital, Sultan Bazar.
Narayanguda Police Station received a distress call informing them that a woman seems to be getting labour pains on a footpath. Mr. Bheem Reddy, Inspector of Police sent a team of women constables to the spot. The team found the woman suffering from labour pain. The police team made temporary arrangements by covering with clothes and bed sheets.
Mr. Bheem Reddy, Inspector of Police expressed surprise that no one come forward to enquire about the woman. She is still in the hospital.
