Hyderabad: Youths arrested in forced collection and narcotic drug cases bring disrepute to city

Hyderabad: At the time when the Muslims are being targeted in the entire country on some pretext or the other, the irresponsible youths of the city are getting involved in criminal cases which bring disrepute to the city and they are being sent to prison.

In a recent incident, Banjara Hill police arrested a group of four youths which wanted to earn easy money by forcibly collecting money from people.

On 24th June, Saud Umoodi, resident of road number 4, Banjara Hills and his three companions Fahad Farooq Saberi of CPM, Abbu and Ali commissioned the owner of a garments showroom, ‘Mandar’, Mr. Kalyan and his manager Sunil under the pretext of resolving the conflict of hoardings. The culprits threatened them and demanded money. A non-Muslim who wanted to support the victims was also misbehaved. Later, they attacked the victims and misbehaved them.

On receiving a complaint of forced collection of money, Banjara Hills police registered a case and arrested Saud Umoodi, Fahad Farooq Saberi, Abbu and Ali. During the interrogation, the accused confessed their earlier crimes which included the attack on Capt. Kaleem. Police elicited all the details of their criminal activities through their confession statements.

Another incident has come to limelight wherein a youth by name, Mohammed Abdul Wahab, a resident of Chandrayangutta is allegedly involved in a drug racket. The officials of Task Force of State Excise seized drugs worth lakhs of rupees from his possessions. He was supplying drugs to the famous young film producer of Telugu film industry.

These incidents depict that an attempt is being made to bring disrepute to the city and it also shows how our youths are adopting such criminal activities to earn easy money.
