Hyderabadi footballer Lateefuddin Najam nominated for “Shaan-e-Mohammedan” award

Hyderabad: Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata nominated Hyderabadi footballer, Syed Lateefuddin Najam for the prestigious lifetime achievement award “Shaan-e-Mohammedan”.

President of the club, Mr. Sultan Ahmed told that it is the lifetime award of the club which is given every year to the football player for his excellent services in the field of football. This year, the club has decided to give this award to Hyderabadi footballer, Syed Lateefuddin Najam.

It may be recalled that Mr. Lateefuddin received four awards in 1976. Three awards were given as the best footballer and the fourth one was for the best score. In 1976, Mr. Lateefuddin led the Indian Junior Football Team. This team won joint championship award in the contest held in Tehran, Iran.
