Hyderabad: Shujat bin Ali of Hyderabad has got the honour of being included in the GC Powerlist for India. Shujat bin Ali a company Secretary has been honoured by Legal 500 – the leading global legal directory. He is the first Hyderabadi to get this honour. Legal 500 unveiled its first edition of GC Powerlist for India in the presence of Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
The GC Powerlist is a series of publications, highlighting the most influential in-house lawyers in business today. The GC Powerlist for India recognises 100 individuals, known for their outstanding work in the country and have contributed significantly to the rapidly growing in-house legal market. The individuals featured on the list are chosen through a comprehensive research process, which includes nominations, background research and interviews, the most deserving general counsel are chosen to appear on the list.
Shujat bin Ali is the Senior Director of legal and risk management at PAREXEL. He has worked in many companies including IT Pharma and others. He is the ex-president of ICSI Hyderabad. He is part of a number of professional bodies for corporate counsel and business people including Corporate Law and FTAP Chamber of Commerce, IPR. Shujat bin Ali is a commerce and law graduate and is the fellow member of Institute of Company Secretaries.
