ICUs in all Govt hospitals in 6 months: Laxma Reddy

Hyderabad: Health Minster Dr. C. Lakshma Reddy on Saturday announced that Intensive Care Units (ICU) would be established in all government hospitals in the Telangana State in the next six months.

Speaking to media persons after inaugurating the Bone Marrow Transplantation unit at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, he said that the public hospitals were in bad shape due to the continuous negligence by previous regimes. He said several hospital lack back medical facilities. However, he said that the TRS Government has taken initiatives to improve the conditions.

The minister said all District and Area hospitals would have ICUs soon. He said that the government hospitals would be developed on par with corporate hospitals. (INN)
