IED blast in Saudi Arabia: Two police officers injured

Jeddah: In a terror activity which took place in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, two Saudi security officials were injured on Monday when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) busted.

According to the report published in Arab News, This incident occurred during the police patrol in Al-Awamiyah, a village situated in Al-Qatif region of Eastern Province.

Injured police officers shifted to hospital and the concern authorizes are investigating the terror activity, Spokesperson of the Interior Ministry said.

It may be noted that earlier this month, a Special Forces Soldier was killed and five other were injured in an RPG rocket attack which was fired by terrorists in Al-Masoura district of Al-Qatif region.

According to Ministry, terrorists are using rockets, explosive devices and landmines and it is an attempt to put hurdles in the developmental project.
