Impact of Siasat news: Waqf Board Chairman shows interest in Manikonda Waqf land case

Hyderabad: Following the publication of report in Siasat Daily, regarding lack of interest of Legal Department of Waqf Board in proposed Supreme Court hearing of case of Dargah Hazrat Husain Shah Vali Waqf land located at Manikonda, Mohammed Saleem Chairman Waqf Board directed to convene a meeting of standing counsel and legal experts and advocates associated with Lanco Hills case on April 29.

Hearing of the case in Supreme Court is likely in the first week of May but no consultation has been made with the lawyers of Supreme Court yet. If Waqf Board won’t take interest in this connection the 1650 acre of valuable land will be in peril. It is said Waqf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem has directed Chief Executive Officer M A Mannan Farooqui to convene Standing Counsel’s meeting.

Siasat Daily had published a report regarding Eidgah Guttala Begumpet land case pending with the Court besides Lanco Hills, following which Waqf Board Chairman sprung into action.
