Imran murder case: Fatima Begum surrenders before police

Hyderabad: Falaknuma police arrested two persons including a woman in NRI Syed Imran’s murder case. Deputy Commissioner of Police South Zone Mr. V Satya Narayana produced the arrested persons before media and told that key accused in murder case Sayeed bin Sabit’s wife Fatima Begum had voluntarily admitted being involved in Imran’s murder.

The police told that Fatima confessed that when her husband was working in Qatar she developed illicit relations with Syed Imran, working in a National Bank in Abu Dhabi. On learning about the wife’s infidelity, her husband estranged her. DCP further told that 3 moths ago Sayeed called his wife and told that he wished to live with her and started sending amount. He also made a surprise visit to Hyderabad and met his wife in a bank. Sayeed also called his younger brother in the bank and both took Fatima to Jamal Banda, Chandrayangutta. Sayeed promised to lead a normal life with his wife if she assists him in Imran’s killing, who allegedly had illicit relations with Sayeed’s sister too. On this Fatima agreed to help him in murder. Imran was brutally killed on February 4, at Jamalbanda, Chandrayangutta and was buried.

Sayeed, his brother Saif, and Shaikh Hameed alias Babu who helped in Imran’s murder have also been arrested.
