India makes fresh bid to get Headley

New Delhi: India has made fresh requests to the United States for extradition of terrorists David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Rana for their role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

This came as Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Deputy Director Andrew McCabe visited India earlier this month and met senior officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Speaking on the matter, a spokesperson for the NIA told ANI that the Deputy Director of FBI visited the NIA headquarter on April 3 during which both sides held discussions on Headley.

“We discussed regarding David Headley. This is a routine affair. Whenever any senior official visits the NIA (headquarter), we discuss issues related to that county,” he added. (ANI)
