India will beat terrorism, says Rajnath Singh

Lucknow: Union Home Minister said on Sunday that India would be able to achieve victory over terrorism.

“Terrorism is also a challenge. Indian will achieve victory over it too,” Rajnath said as per ANI.

Dismissing a question that Islamic State terror group was expanding in several states of the country, the Minister said, “Do not worry about it, there is nothing like this,” he told reporters on the sidelines of an event at Manisha Mandir Ashram here.

Asked about reported claims by Pakistan that India was not ready for talks, Singh said, “Let them level allegations. It has no meaning,” as per PTI.

He had also noted that India’s borders with Pakistan and China were “very sensitive” and said security arrangements have to be ensured keeping the situation in mind.

Speaking on India’s security scenario at a conclave he had said, “Pakistan has been regularly violating ceasefire agreements, but India has given a befitting reply. Pakistan is also waging a proxy terror war against India.”

The Home Minister had added that the Modi government had gone whole hog against the infiltrators as a result of which 130 terrorists were killed while sneaking into Indian territory since 2014, compared to 110 in 2013 and 67 in 2012.

At the same time Rajnath had pointed out that increasing defence power of India was not going down well with anti-national elements.
