Indian embassy comes to the rescue of Hyderabadi man stranded in Riyadh

HYDERABAD: A day after Times of India carried out a report on 22-year-old, Shaikh Taufeeq, who is now languishing in a remote area in Saudi Arabia, the Indian embassy in Riyadh comes to his rescue.

Taufeeq, resident of Santoshnagar Hyderabad, migrated to Saudi Arabia is allegedly physically tortured by the kafeel.

Embassy officials on their Twitter handle ‘India in Saudi Arabia’, operates from Riyadh said that they contacted the victim’s family for details.

They also activated their counterparts in Qatar Doha, to join them in their attempts to trace Taufeeq.

In another Tweet, the embassy alerted the office of the DGP to take action against the culprit.

Agent Imtiyaz was called to the Begumpet police station where he directed Inspector G Jagan to call up Saudi Arabia-based agent Ali. However, after speaking brief for a while with the Jagan, Ali, disconnect the call.

The series of action resulted after an Indian immigrant sent the TOI story to the Twitter handle.
