Indian Government decides to bring back Indian Nationals working in Qatar

New Delhi: With the current ongoing political tensions between the two Gulf countries Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Indian government has decided to bring back Indian nationals working in Qatar.

Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Wednesday that additional flights shall be flown to bring back the Indian Nationals from Qatar seeing the current situations from June 22 onwards.

The move comes after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj discussed the situation with the Ashok Gajapathi Raju Minister for Civil Aviation on June 19, primarily to help Kerala sector as majority of Indians working in Qatar are from the State.

In order to carry out the decision three new routes will be operated from June 25 to July 8 by Air India Express that is Trivandrum-Doha, Doha-Cochin, Cochin-Trivandrum.

Jet Airways will be handling the Mumbai-Doha-Mumbai flights on June 22 and on June 23.
The Ministry is currently taking steps to ensure Indian Nationals safely return from the current situation, The Hindu reported.
