Indian spinners reign supreme as Proteas bundled out for 214

Bengaluru, Nov.14 : Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja produced a scintillating performance as South Africa were bundled out for 214 on the opening day of the second Test in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Opting to bowl first, Ashwin and Jadeja maintained a complete stranglehold over the tourists as they claimed four wickets each.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Varun Aaron claimed the crucial wicket of team captain Hashim Amla for seven.

Batting mainstay AB de Villiers, who is playing in his 100th Test match, provided a solid resistance by scoring a defiant 85 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Dean Elgar (38) and Morne Morkel (22) were the other notable scorers for South Africa as the Indian spin duo once again bamboozled the tourists in the four-match series. (ANI)
