Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that a four-day long Indywood Film Carnival will be held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad from September 24 to 27.
Addressing a press conference at Secretariat here he said that the international film festival is being organized under the aegis of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao offering complete support for the mega event to be attended over by about 80 nations. Aries Group of Companies founder chairman and CEO Sohan Ray conceptualized the carnival to be witnessing the portrayal of 200 films, 2000 short films and 20000 delegates.
All arrangements are being made to ensure that the film carnival will be a grand success as it proves handy for the state film development he remarked. Efforts are on to build a film institute in about 50 acres to 100 acres land in the city, the Cinematography minister stated. The Government is trying to contain piracy of the films in coordination with film field he added. Noted film personalities, producers, directors, cinematographers are to share their ideas on the world film trends under single platform. (NSS)
