Infiltration bid foiled, one guerrilla killed

Srinagar: The army on Thursday foiled an infiltration bid across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, killing one guerrilla while two soldiers were injured, defence sources said.

The army foiled an infiltration bid by guerrillas from across the LoC in Keran sector of Kupwara district, a source told IANS.

“One terrorist has been killed in this operation. We have recovered one weapon. Two soldiers sustained minor injuries in this operation which is still going on in the area,” the source added.
