Islamabad [Pakistan]: Asserting that India has been using secret sources to destabilize Islamabad and create unrest in the region, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, has urged the United Nations to take notice of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statements on Pakistan.
“The international community and the UN should take serious notice of the aggressive statements made by Modi”, the Dawn quoted Nisar, as saying.
In wake of the Uri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 18 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives, Indian Prime Minister Modi said that New Delhi will mount a global campaign to isolate Pakistan across the world. He had also accused Pakistan of being a state sponsor of terrorism.
Nisar was instead of the view that India has been sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan.
“India has been sponsoring and backing terrorism in Pakistan for the last many years,” Nisar added.
Cautioning citizens, he said Islamabad needs to be alert to attacks by the enemies of Pakistan, as the “enemy will not always use conventional military might to harm the country”.
Urging the nation to be united and stand up to any threats Pakistan might face, he said it is very important to show national unity with our actions.
“We need to show unity, this is not the time for politics and political statements.We need to make it clear that if anyone looks at us with an evil eye, the whole nation will stand united against any aggression,” he added.
On the Kashmir issue, Nisar said that Pakistan will seek help from China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Eighten Indian Army soldiers were killed and over 20 others were injured in an encounter with the terrorists at the Army Brigade headquarters in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir.
This is the highest casualty the army has suffered in a single attack in last two decades.
All four terrorists involved in the attack were killed in what has emerged as worse than the attack on the Pathankot air base earlier in January this year, in which seven army men were killed. (ANI)
