Intermediate student of Andhra Pradesh set ablaze at railway station

KADAPA: In a very horrific incident a 17-year-old intermediate student was doused with petrol and set ablaze by an unidentified man at the Rajampet Railway Station on Wednesday.
The victim identified as Kona Navin Kumar who hails from Kunavaripalle village in Khajipetmandal of Kadapa district, succumbed to injuries while being shifted to a hospital in Tirupati.
Navin boarded the Mumbai-Chennai Dadar Express to go to his college which is located at Tirupati. When he got down to drinking water at Rajampet Station. A man whose face was covered with handkerchief poured petrol on him and set him afire.
Police was informed immediately and Navin was shifted to the government hospital in Rajampet, where his condition became serious for his better treatment he was being shifted to Tirupati and he succumbed to injuries.
A case was registered against the unidentified man. Police suspect that it was a planned murder as people are not allowed to carry petrol and other fuel in trains.
