Damascus [Syria]: As many as 32 persons were killed and several others injured in a suicide attack by Islamic State of Iraq and the Syria (ISIS) militants on a refugee camp in Syria’s Hasakeh province, local media reports said.

Head of the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdel Rahman said that at least five suicide attackers blew themselves at a camp for Iraqi refugees and displaced the Syrians in Hasakeh province.

Thousands of people have fled to Syria to escape from IS-controlled territory in Iraq.

Reports said that several children were amongst the dead and wounded.

The ISIS territory has largely shrunk to western Mosul in Iraq and is facing severe pressure from an alliance of coalition forces in Syria. (ANI)
