ISL 2016: NorthEast United FC Appoint Francisco Bruto Da Costa as Assistant Coach

New Delhi: NorthEast United FC have secured the services of Francisco Bruto Da Costa as the assistant coach for the third edition of the Indian Super League (ISL).

He has over 14 years of experience of working across India. He has previously worked as the assistant coach for the India U-14, U-17, U-19 national team and AIFF Elite Academy.

“I am happy to be part of NorthEast United FC. The club has an interesting line-up of players, balancing the young energy levels and the maturity and on-field expertise of seasoned players. I am excited to begin assisting the team and hope to put across a fabulous show for our fans in ISL-2016,” said Bruto Da Costa.

Bruto Da Costa holds the ‘A’ License Coaching Certificate, conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and also a Pro License under the AFC.

“We are glad to have Francisco Bruto Da Costa on-board and look forward to utilise his expertise and experience in assisting the team. We are hopeful that his key understanding of Indian football scenario will contribute in the optimum training and development of the players,” John Abraham, Owner of NorthEast United FC, said.

Nelo Vingada, Head Coach of NEUFC said: “I look forward to the assistance of Francisco Bruto Da Costa, given his deeper understanding of the footballing scenario in India.
