Jagan blasts Naidu—Demands CBI Probe in to Tuni Violence

YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today demanded a CBI inquiry into the Tuni violence to identify the real culprits behind the incidents.

Addressing the media here, he said Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has been demanding what the TDP President N Chandrababu had promised during the elections, and asked what was wrong in it. He took the TDP Government to task for portraying a social demand into a law and order problem and divert the attention of the people from the real issue.

He alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu was trying to gag the media to prevent coverage of Mudragada’s protest. He said that the pro-Government media was asked by Naidu not to report the protest and as for   neutral media, including Sakshi TV, the transmission was blocked. He termed this as a  black day in a democracy  and reminds one of  the Emergency Days.

He charged Chandrababu with ignoring the promises made to the people and deceiving them. Is it wrong to demand implementation of the promise he hade in regard to reservation for Kapus, he asked.  If Chandrababu is really sincere, he should order a CBI probe in to Tuni violence to bring out the truth, Jagan added.

Senior leaders  Botsa Satyanarayana and Ambati Rambabu were also present at the press meet.(NSS)
