Jagan says TD govt unaware of drought situation

YSC Congress Party president and AP Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday lashed out at the TD government saying that it failed to tackle the drought like situation in the state. The TD government has failed in providing relief to the farmers,Mr Jagan said.

Addressing a public meeting in as part of party’s  Maha Dharna in Anantapur, Jagan said that YS Jagan said over 17.52 lakh acres crops were lost due to drought, but the chief minister was claiming there was no drought at all in the state. He accused the TD government of fooling the farmers in the name of crop damage basement by TD chief by conducting aerial survey. He said that the rain guns supplied to the farmers in Anantapur district were not enough to make the farm lands cultivable, the YSRC chief pointed out.

Jagan lashed out at the Chief Minister saying that minister K Ravindra had claimed that the state was badly hit by drought and that 90 per cent of the state was reeling under severe drought. He questioned as to who was true, the Chief Minister – who claimed there was no drought in the state or the minister- who claimed there was 90% drought, the YSRCP chief questioned. (INN)
