Jagan urges President to tighten anti-defection law

Accompanied by his lieutenants, YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today called on president Pranab Mukherjee and discussed about political situation in Andhra Pradesh State.

Jagan met the President at 2 pm and submitted a memorandum against induction of turncoat legislators into cabinet by Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He complained that Naidu gave berths to four YSRCP MLAs recently in utter disregard of political values. .The YSRCP president urged the President to take action in his regard.

According to reliable sources, Jaganmohan Reddy was in Delhi to bring the issues to the notice of the Union government to strengthen the anti-defection law. He stated that by giving ministries to YSRCP turncoats even through anti-defection cases are still pending against them. He alleged that the TDP was buying MLAs with tainted money. This has been proved in the case of Cash For Vote scam, he said.
