Jaipal’s Poser to KCR on Dalith CM Promise

Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy has asked the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who said that the government will construct 125 feet Dr BR Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad, to tell as to what happened to his assurance that he will make a dalith as Chief Minister.

 

Addressing a gathering at Imperial Gardens where the PCC conducted  Dr BR Ambedkar’s 125th Birth Anniversary Celebrations on Tuesday, Jaipal Reddy said that the persons, who refuses to accept Ambedkar’s social idealism, has no right to utter Ambedkar’s name. He alleged that the BJP government was trying to turn the Universities as  centers for ABVP. He stated that the Congress party was working with the ideals of Ambedkar.

 

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy described the Chief Minister’s love towards Ambedkar   as a fake one and alleged that the Chief Minister deceived Daliths by forgetting the assurances made before  the elections.

 

AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, AICC SC Cell Chairman Koppula Raju, TPCC Working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other leaders participated in the meeting.

Earlier in the day, Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao lodged a complaint with Digvijay Singh. He alleged in his complaint that the Party leaders had sold tickets in GHMC elections. MLC from Medak district Farooq Hussain also lodged a complaint with Digvijay Singh alleging that the Congress leaders were sold out themselves to the TRS party in Narayanakhed by-election. Both VH and Farooq asked Digvijay Singh to conduct an inquiry into these issues and initiate action against the persons responsible for the same.   (NSS)
