Hyderabad: Former Home Minister and Congress CLP leader, Mr. K. Jana Reddy announced that if TRS Govt. provides 12% reservation to Muslims and ensures water to irrigate 10 lakh acre lands, he would resign from politics. He was addressing a review meeting of Congress workers at Miriyalguda in Nalgonda District yesterday. Present on this occasion were Telangana Congress President, Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy, opposition leader of Congress in Telangana Legislative Council, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, District Observer, Mr. Mallu Ravi, Mr. K. Venkat Reddy, Former Minister and others.
Mr. Jana Reddy told that Mr. KCR inducted Miriyalguda MLA into TRS to tarnish his image. He told that KCR cheated the Muslims by promising that he would provide 12% reservation to Muslims within four months of TRS assuming power in Telangana. Despite the lapse of two years, he did not fulfill his promise. He has also promised to provide water to 10 lakh acres which has not been fulfilled yet.
Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy, President of Telangana State Congress told that soon after KCR assumed charge, Nagarjuna Sagar dried up. He did not fulfill the promise of providing three acre land to Dalits, double bedroom houses and 12% reservation for Muslims. He criticized former Congress MP, Mr. Sukhender Reddy and former MLA of Miriyalguda for joining TRS.
Mr. K. Venkat Reddy, MLA of Nalgonda District told that Mr. Sukender Reddy got elected as MP without spending a single rupee for which Mr. Jana Reddy played a key role. He hoped that in 2019, Congress would come back to power.
Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir told that people expected that Telangana would improve and the dream of Golden Telangana would be fulfilled but TRS Supremo is concentrating on collection, election and functions. He told the people to ask Sukhender Reddy for changing his loyalty.
Mr. Raj Gopal Reddy told that separate Telangana was not formed due to the efforts of TRS but it was Ms. Sonia Gandhi who formed Telangana. The people of Telangana cannot forget this gratitude of Ms. Sonia Gandhi. He challenged the defected Congress leaders to resign from their posts and get re-elected. He hoped that Congress will win those seats.
Senior Congress MP and leader of Rajya Sabha, Mr. Goverdhan Reddy, Mr. Mallu Ravi and others also addressed the gathering.
