Yokohama/Los Angles : Japanese carmaker Nissan recently invited 59 journalists, bloggers and car club members from six countries in Asia and Oceania.
As part of the Nissan 360 Asia and Oceania event, the guests visited the global headquarters of Nissan in Yokohama city.
Takao Kagagiri, Executive Vice President, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., said, “I welcome you joining here today and coming several days in Japan, to discover Nissan. Nissan has a long history globally and the same time long history in the region.”
Participants from Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia joined together to experience what Nissan is all about.
Starting from the Nismo Festival held at Fuji racetrack, where 35,000 Nissan race fans congregated at the foot of Mt Fuji.
Tsugio Matsuda, a NISMO driver, said, “Welome to Fuji Speedway to NISMO festival.”
Nissan 360 event is aimed for the participants to get know and experience a wide perspective about the Nissan brand.
Ronnie Quintarelli, a NISMO driver, said, “We still have the adrenaline of the victory.”

The event’s theme is “Discover Nissan” – Guests experienced firsthand new and future product and technology through the six-day-long program.
Participant said, “This is going to be pretty amazing!”
Participants experienced Nissan heritage tours at the memorial cabinet in Japan’s Zama city.
The Nissan 360 event program has been designed to understand Nissan from all destinations – its past, present and future.
Participants also received the state-of-the-art technology introduction in Nissan Advanced Technology Development Center.
The test ride was the showcase of Nissan’s latest and greatest vehicles for both road and track use as well as concept models that will soon hit the roads.
The Nissan 360 event has received a very favorable reception from the participants. Nissan will to continue the event to communicate and promote to the motor fans.

William Sturgeon, an official of the 3D Systems, said, “The original components were prototyped in SLA, Stereolithography, using the ProX800 and ProX950. And then they were cast and formed as the exist model you see here.”
Most 3D printers are used for building prototypes for the manufacturing industries such as engineering and automotive, but with the advancement of the digital technology, now it’s applications are in many varieties.
A exhibitor said, “So, we actually used a material called TPU (Thermo Poly Urethane). It’s actually flexible, and still has that interlocking part ability because it’s 3D printing technology. but if you touch it you can feel that it’s actually kind of spring. Basically, a textile that allowed us to create a skirt out of it.”
3D printers are now moving towards more compact units with affordable price for the consumer.
Phair Tsai of the XYZ Printing, “What XYZ Printing is about us to make 3D printer, 3D printing technology as affordable and approachable as possible for consumers, therefore, we managed to bring the cost down, so that everyone managed to give it a 3D printing try.”
